'Ole Blue Eyes' - by Lynn Williams, Cayman Brac

Red Hermit Crab emerging from an unoccupied Conch shell in the the Cayman Islands.  The actual length of the shooting area was only about 4 inches.   I had waited at this shell for so long, I  was just about to give up, thinking no one would come out of the shell.  Just then, he emerged, seemingly 'spilling out' over the shell.  Of course as soon as he saw me, he retreated quickly to the safety of his shell.  Though by then, his cute little crusty redness and beautiful blue eyes were captured on film.
On enlargements, every detail of his blue irises can be seen.
